Daniela Pernia grew up watching her parents rebuild a life from scratch. Her family came to the United States from Venezuela on political asylum, and what followed was years of hard, unglamorous work. Her father, who holds a PhD in law, started a transportation business. Her mother, also trained in law, began with a cleaning company and later sold food on weekends to cover the cost of her kids’ activities. That weekend side project eventually grew into Arempas, a family restaurant group that expanded to seven locations, four of which still operate today. That kind of resourcefulness stayed with her.

She started her career in banking, where she spent time helping people in her community with the basics: building credit, understanding savings options, learning about tools like Roth IRAs and tax planning strategies. She saw firsthand how many families and business owners felt overwhelmed by financial decisions and how much difference a clear explanation could make. That experience pulled her toward financial planning, where she worked in traditional wealth management with a focus on retirement planning, along with operations and client service roles.

Daniela also brings real experience running businesses. She helped build and manage several small businesses within her family, including restaurants, bars, and a hospitality group. That hands-on work gave her a practical understanding of budgeting, cash flow, operations, and what it actually takes to grow something. It’s a perspective that shows up in how she works with clients, especially business owners who are trying to plan for the future while managing the day-to-day.

Now a financial professional at Digital Wealth Partners in Salt Lake City, Daniela holds the Series 7, Series 63, Series 66, and SIE licenses, along with Life, Health, and Annuities Insurance licensing. She studied at the University of Utah and holds the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals (DACFP) certification. Her focus areas include financial education, long-term planning, and helping clients understand how digital assets fit into a broader financial picture.

Outside of work, Daniela spends most of her time with her son and her extended family. She stays involved with the family restaurants, enjoys fitness and content creation, and likes getting to know the people she works with. She listens, asks questions, and puts in the effort to understand what matters to each person she sits down with.
